Galaxy - NaPoWriMo

They descended
on a panting, gasping earth
a galaxy of stars
from the luminous tinseltown.

Captured the gaunt, emaciated bodies
the blank, listless eyes,
the chasms in the parched barren soil
with their prying, zooming lenses.

Danced, sang, performed their brilliant acts -
the stars, to the chants of 'lights, camera, action'
Poverty, hunger and deprivation were bestsellers.
A place in the Hall of Fame was ensured.
