Sunshine - NaPoWriMo

And here is the piece for Day2 of  NaPoWriMo on the prompt Sunshine.

From behind the undulating tree line
Peeps out a ray of golden sunshine.
Wakes up the somnolent earth
With its generous warmth.

A nudge here, a poke there
Nascent buds bloom under its loving care.
Luscious fruits acquire a vibrant colorful hue
Birds chirrup, flit and zoom to the sky blue.

Sets the dormant engines abuzz
Begin the morning calls and frantic rush.
Glorious sunshine is what keeps the world alive and kicking
A dark sombre day is gloomy, melancholic and harrowing.
