Depression - NaPoWriMo

A cold white night descends

Sound of white silence envelopes

the city, and me

outside, pristine white snowflakes float

inside, it trickles to the core of my heart -

sadness

embraces me like a shroud

frozen winds perform a funeral march

to my joy, my peace - shrill and loud.

I am vanquished

Forever, I am scarred

I give in to my fate.

Depression

is my soulmate.
