Solitude-The Watermark Of My Life

What if I fall?, a wounded soul asks,
What if you fly?, the night prods,
Tonight I will lead you, winks the half moon,
Come, fly with me, whispers the wind.
Hope floats on a tiny gossamer cloud,
Wisps of moonlight light up
The desolate corners of my heart.
I unclench my fists,
Swirl my knotted hands to beckon
All my invisible strength
And rise. To shine like the moon.
Just then I remember...
Solitude is the watermark of my life.
And I descend.
